Melissa+Ken

Last week I met up with Melissa and Ken for their e-session.  I first met Ken and Melissa at Trina and Russell’s wedding last summer. (7-7-07)  I was very excited when Ken called to set up a consultation for wedding photography.  I have enjoyed getting to know them more and look forward to their upcoming wedding this late summer in Fargo.

Leslie+Chad

Leslie and Chad were over for a quick engagement session a few Fridays ago…  I am a little behind on my blog posts so thank you for your patience Leslie!  Leslie’s Grandmother, Mother and Sister also came along for some fun relationship type shots. They were all great in front of the camera.  I look forward to Chad and Leslie’s wedding early fall.

Amy + Ryan

I met Amy almost 2 1/2 years ago while shooting another wedding in Valley City. She was the best personal attendant, braving the frigid weather (14 degrees) to help her friend Jo Marie with her dress.  I was very flattered when she called announcing she was newly engaged and was interested in my photography services.  She is so organized and on the ball that she called me while driving back from Montana where Ryan proposed… now that is quick! :)   It was fun reconnecting with Amy and meeting  Ryan.  They will be married this fall in Valley City.

J+J

I met up with Jay and Jillian in the Minneapolis area also a couple of weekends ago.  Jay drove in from Chicago and Jillian from North Dakota.  We decided to meet in the middle for them.  All week I had been watching the weather for their weekend session and it wasn’t promising a whole lot of cooperation.  Thankfully, it was hot and sunny.  Thanks to Gina of Captivating Photography for assisting me with this shoot, you were a great help!  Jay and Jillian will be wed in Fargo towards the end of the summer.  (Thanks Melissa B. for the referral!)

Gracie…

I had a handful of sessions while down in Minneapolis last weekend.  It was a little windy but other than that, the weather was perfect.  Gracie is now 18 months old.  Her Mom said it might be tough as she is a shaker and a mover!  At first she was not quite sure about the whole thing but, as you can see from the pictures she warmed up.  I think it helped having Grandma there. :)   OK, it definitely helped having Grandma there.  Stephanie and Lori did an awesome job of playing tag! (Thank you!)

My favorite  :)

I am looking forward to Kelly and Derrick and Melissa and Ken’s e sessions as well as another newborn session (yeah!).   Angela and Chad’s wedding will take place along Lake Bemidji and then I’ll head back over to Valley City for Sara and Jim’s wedding (lots of fun details at this one!!)  It’s been a very busy start to the summer with weddings and portrait work, so I will be catching up with some blog posts this week before I head out Thursday to kick off back to back weddings this weekend.

Mya part 2…

Part two for Mya and family.  Mya was the perfect baby model today.  She was awake for some and then fell asleep for some more.  It is to much fun photographing babies. Thanks Jessie and Bill for a wonderful session!  I wanted to get you a sneak peek before I head out of town. :)   Enjoy!

I definately count this as a smile. :)

Love little hat shots…

Jessie has the most beautiful eyes…

Patti+Peter

Last Saturday I was in Fingal, ND to photograph the wedding of Patti and Peter.  The week of the wedding the forecast was not looking so good, but the day turned out to be a very beautiful one!  I wish we had that blue sky this week!  Will the sun ever shine again??? Patti and Peter are one of the most easy going couples!  I had a lot of fun spending the day with the Gruman’s and the Jewett’s.  As always it is fun coming back to the VC area and seeing friendly faces.

This weekend I will be heading to the Minneapolis area for:  One engagement session, a senior portrait session, a newborn session and to photograph little Gracie May for her 18 month session all in two very short days! {I need to be back for Father’s Day. :) }  I will be visiting lots of beautiful locations so I hope the weather will cooperate and that the blue skies will shine through!

Now onto the bride and groom…

Little Mya

I had the pleasure of meeting Mya and her parents along with Aunt Ember today.  She is just the tiniest little girl.  It is amazing how soon we forget that our babies were once that small!  She is the sweetest thing. :)   I look forward to seeing her next week for some more pictures!

Karter and Reagan

It was wonderful to see Karter and Reagan again along with their parents. :)   Many of you have seen the little shot of the baby butt on the scale… well that little bum belongs to Karter when he was a baby.   He has grown into a wonderful, pleasant little boy.  He’s pretty much a sweatheart!  His little “woo woo” is just the same.  I will have lots of fun taking some pics of Karter at the wedding next April.. I am hoping Superman will make a special appearance. :)

North Carolina girls…

Skyler and Micala are my new friends out in Charlotte, NC.  It took a minute to warm up to me, then they were full of giggly smiles.  I look forward to maybe seeing them again next year!  A few little sneak peeks!
